"hit" is a hit counter which simply adds todays date (day of week, month, day of month, time of day) to a "hits-file."Only this weeks hits are kept - if its Sunday, April 28th and "hit" is called, then all entires within the "hits-file" that are Sunday, but are NOT April 28th are removed. "hitstats" reads the "hits-file" that "hit" creates and displays a seven-day chart (ending with today) showing the recent hits graphically.
