A PHP script for automating a picture gallery from a folder of images. Just upload a directory with pictures and thumbnails to your web server by FTP. No database is needed. It lists all the images in a directory and links them so they open in a 'viewer' window. The images are sorted alphabetically by default. A custom order can be defined within a textfile. The layout is template driven und easy to customize.

This free and simple PHP4 script aims to make it as easy as possible to throw up a bunch of photos with thumbnails on the web. All you need to do is drop your JPEG files in a directory, drop this script in with them (named index.php) and its done. The script takes care of making thumbnails, writing the pages, adding captions (using comments from the JPEG files), adding Next/Previous links, and adding an Auto slideshow mode, with a user-set timer . Optionally, you can further customise your album using separate html files for the header, footer and intro page. Add a text file with the filenames in it, and you can also sort the photos any way you want.

This is a PHP script that enables you to serve pictures, videos, sounds, etc. over the web. THe author writes "I wrote it to allow my family to look through my (huge) collection of digital camera pictures and family videos." This is a single PHP 4.x script that has directory browsing and picture viewing built-in. It can use frames, be configured not to use frames, or you can allow your client to choose. The source code is heavily documented and almost everything is easily configured without needing to know much (or anything) about PHP, and the configuration section at the top of the script is separate from the
eal code that does the HTML generation. It should be easy to customize as well, and is designed to be very flexible and extensible. It has been tested and developed on both NT and Linux, so it should work equally well on both platforms.

- MiG - My Image Gallery
MiG is a photo album / image gallery viewer written in PHP. It also includes utilities to do thumbnail creation, extraction of EXIF headers from JPEG files and so forth. Those tools require Perl and ImageMagick, but you do not need Perl or ImageMagick to use MiG itself. There is also a PHP-Nuke plugin mode available.
