the enhanced diary is based on my simple diary, but with one major benefit: it allows people to comment on your journal / news entry and displays on the front page (using mysql joins) the number of comments posted to that entry.its basically a stripped down version of the slashdot system, but much easier to install and modify. the code is fully stable, but loads of enhancements are planned.

Simple Diary is a very simple and easy to install online diary script which runs off a Mysql database. Alternatively, you could make it look like a "latest news" section on your website.
