You update the incorrect URLs database with the corresponding correct URL. You create your own "wrong URL" page. The entire system is customized to your website. If it finds the current one in the database, the program redirects the visitor to the correct webpage. If not, the program redirects the visitor to a "wrong URL" page.

- RedMan
RedMan is a server script, which is called when the server would normally generate a 404 (Not Found) error message. It traps the name of the missing resource (WebPage, script, or whatever you would normally send back). It will then check to see whether a redirection has been declared for the missing resource. If it finds a declared redirection, it will send back the correct information for the browser (remote client) to successfully locate the new location of the resource. If no redirection is found, it will return a HTML message, as defined by the WebAdmin, stating that the resource was not found.

- Ri404
Ri404 is a script to intercept, log and email reports to the owner of the site whenever a 404 File Not Found error occurs. This lets the owner see instantly if they have bad links on their site that people are following, or if other sites have dead links into your site. When a 404 error occurs, the user will see a page that you have configured, rather than the plain old "404 File Not Found". In the mean time, a full report has been emailed to you, with details such as the page they tried to get, what page they came from, their remot hostname and IP address, etc. Also, if required it creates a log with the key details listed, which is very human & machine readable.
